Simon Waller
Of course two things instantly come to mind about Simon spots and French
verbs
Therefore he will forever be remembered for being the "spot boy",
due to the large spot he developed on his nose about the time of Founder's Day.
However who wouldn't forget the fact that the he was the one who could not
conjugate the verb avoir, much to the consternation of French Master, Mr Warr
even though it was written on the Blackboard.
To be fair he was not the only one who had a mental block under the pressure of
the 50's style teaching methods.
Simon, daily cajoled by Freddie Hutchin's, enabled Wellington dorm to walk
away with the best dormitory prize.
Simon was also a big fairy!!
NO before you jump to the wrong conclusions, in the school's production of 'A
Midsummer Night's Dream' he more than ably played the part of Oberon - the fairy
King.
