Matthew Sweeney
It didn't take long for the Sween to earn himself a place in Matron's favour.
When it came to Matron's inspection in the morning he regularly gained her
praise for not biting his finger nails (even though he did!) and for having an
immaculate bed.
He gained the title of 'Kingpin' from Mr. Vince for mathematical excellence and
had the honour of wearing his 'proper topper of glory'. He also excelled in Mr.
Vince's model making classes and he was the only person to actually finish and
painting his plane.
Famed for his attempts to catch one of the many pigeons, he never actually
managed to do so.
Sween showed his true strength of character when it came to taking the blame
over a bag of sweets from Lancashire, in order to prevent dorm-mate Nic Hall
being expelled.
