Holly McGuire came from a voluntary-aided Catholic high school in Staffordshire. She was disarmingly frank about her dislike for sports, but was keen to admit that enjoyed English and history at school. She was very modest about where she saw herself in the future: married to Prince William whilst working as a London barrister.

In the outside world, she loved to shop and lose herself in the world of fashion! Conscientious is a word Holly used to describe herself. Every morning before school she used to go through the "daily ritual" of blow-drying and straightening, something which she was relieved of at Kings… though the term "relief" may be debatable.

She hated the whole thing to start with, but as she got to know Harriet, Henrietta, Nicola and Joe she started to relax (as much as possible) and make the most of the experience. As for the straw boaters? She said that she doesn't think she'll be wearing one of those any time soon!
