Hina
Khan
Hina Khan was a lively member
of the Kings group and came from a comprehensive school in Greater Manchester.
She was both physically and mentally fit, as her favourite subjects ranged from
essay-centred history lessons to logic-centred maths lessons and her favourite
sports ranged from gymnastics to football.
One
of her main interests in the outside world was watching the cricket, something
she was able to do after the first week when the girls did the catering for the
boys' friendly cricket game. As for watching the wrestling, there was none of
that at Kings.
She was an independent pupil
and her confidence went undaunted for a month. She claimed to give 110% in
everything she did, which is believable when you find out she had already set
her sights on a Law degree at Oxford University - even before she had received
her GCSE results! She excelled in History at Kings, and found Mr. Rockell's
lessons about the Indian Mutiny and the Boer Wars deep and thought-provoking.
She left with many friends and memories from the experience and vowed to cherish
them for the rest of her life.
