Henrietta Haines
Henrietta
"Tetty" Haines was from a voluntary aided all-girl grammar school in
the West Midlands. Her favourite subject was music and she loved playing the
violin, which explains her ambition to become a professional musician. She even
set her sights on becoming the leader of the City of Birmingham Symphony
Orchestra one day!
Tetty also enjoyed the physical
side to the school as both hockey and rounders, two of her favourite sports,
featured on the Kings sports calendar for the term.
She also enjoyed ballet,
sketching, handicrafts, and of course, socialising. Well, she did confess to
being outgoing, enthusiastic and dramatic. The latter was definitely true:
nothing passed by Tetty without a stop-the-world-for-a-second comment!
